The Company is focused on developing highly selective 5-HT2 agonists for the treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy, depression, and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Its Serotonin (5-HT) is a neurotransmitter in the brain and modulates many biological functions. Dysfunction of serotonin receptors, transporters, and associated neurocircuits is fundamental to many diseases including epilepsies and neuro psychiatric. Its pipeline includes BMB-101, BMB-xxx, BMB-201, and BMB-202. The Company has a portfolio of patented, selective serotonin (5-HT2C, 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C/A-receptor subtypes) agonists that were identified by using high-throughput screening methods in combination with advanced molecular modeling techniques to interrogate the interaction between the drug and its targeted receptors to increase downstream signaling.
