Williams-Sonoma announced the promotion of Abby Teisch to chief marketing officer. Teisch previously served as executive VP of marketing for Williams-Sonoma, and will continue to report to president and CEO Laura Alber as a member of the company's executive leadership team. "Abby brings a powerful combination of brand vision, digital fluency, and operational excellence to our team," said Laura Alber, president and CEO of Williams-Sonoma. "Her contributions to our company have been instrumental in establishing our leadership in digital marketing and customer loyalty. Her work as CMO will be an accelerant to our long-term growth strategies."

Williams-Sonoma announced participation in the OpenAI Ad Pilot Program, becoming one of the first companies to test ads in ChatGPT. Williams-Sonoma will explore how advertising in ChatGPT can reach customers at decision-making moments, helping surface relevant, high-quality products. Participation in the OpenAI Ad Pilot Program enables brands within the Williams-Sonoma portfolio to appear in high-intent environments where consumers are actively seeking ideas, solutions, and guidance. Williams-Sonoma will work with OpenAI to test and learn how this new format can drive meaningful engagement while maintaining the trust users place in ChatGPT responses and OpenAI's privacy framework.
