Microsoft's (MSFT) Activision announced that its upcoming video game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4" releases October 23, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 (SONY), and PC. "War erupts on the Korean Peninsula as North Korea launches a full-scale invasion that threatens to destabilize the world in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4," the company said. "A young squad of South Korean soldiers fights to survive on the collapsing front lines, while half a world away a vengeful Captain Price wages a personal war from the shadows as he stays one step ahead of those hunting him. As Price's off-book mission collides with the forces behind the invasion, the war spreads beyond anyone's control."

Microsoft's (MSFT) Activision said, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches this fall on PlayStation 5 (SONY), XBOX Series X S, Nintendo Switch 2 (NTDOY), and supported PC platforms, with the integration of Call of Duty: Warzone coming in Season 1. Starting June 4, we will begin reducing the services offered for Call of Duty: Warzone on PlayStation 4 and XBOX One, with support for the game on these platforms coming to an end later this year."

Warner Bros. Games' (WBD) latest release "Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight" has sold 1.2M units across PlayStation 5 (SONY), Xbox Series X/S (MSFT), and Steam since its full launch on May 22, 2026, generating $83M in gross revenue, according to Alinea Analytics' Rhys Elliott. Customers purchased about 612,000 copies on PS5, 289,000 on Xbox, and 249,000 on Xbox, Elliott says, noting the revenue split is even more console-skewed, with PS5 generating 56.4% of total gross revenue.
