Rocket Lab (RKLB) announced that in partnership with Raytheon (RTX) it has been selected to demonstrate advanced capabilities for the United States Space Force's Space Based Interceptor program. "Next-generation missile defense, including the ability to counter hypersonic threats, is a national security priority - one that the joint Rocket Lab and Raytheon team stands ready to deliver on," said Brad Clevenger, President of Rocket Lab USA. "Rocket Lab is already a trusted mission partner for national security and defense programs across our launch and space systems portfolios, and we're proud to add the Space Based Interceptor program to that growing list. A threat as real and rapid as hypersonic and maneuverable missiles demands proven technology and a proven team that executes mission after mission, which is exactly what we're bringing to this program."

AirAsia X has ordered 150 Airbus (EADSY) A220 aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, with the first of these aircraft to be delivered starting in 2028. Pratt & Whitney, an RTX (RTX) business, will provide AirAsia with engine maintenance through a 12-year EngineWise Comprehensive service agreement. "Today marks an important milestone as we welcome AirAsia as the newest customer to the GTF family," said Rick Deurloo, president of Commercial Engines, Pratt & Whitney. "This order reflects the airline's confidence in the GTF engine and its unmatched fuel efficiency and smaller noise footprint. It establishes a strong foundation for a partnership that will support AirAsia's growth for the years ahead."

Raytheon, an RTX business, has been awarded a contract from Blue Raven to produce 120 SharpSight radars, marking the largest single order to date for the new system and a key step in expanding its availability to customers worldwide. SharpSight is a platform-agnostic, multi-domain surveillance radar designed for both manned and unmanned platforms, enabling critical missions such as anti-surface warfare, border protection, coastal monitoring, search and rescue, and long-range surveillance. Under the contract, Raytheon will produce and sustainthe radar, while Blue Raven, formerly Crestwood Technology Group, focuses on global resale and distribution. Together, the companies will provide operators withfaster, more affordable accessto advanced surveillance capability in a highly competitive international market.

RTX was awarded a $441.6M modification to a contract for the procurement of PATRIOT GEM-T missiles in support of Operation Epic Fury. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $441.6M. Work will be performed in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, with an estimated completion date of September 30. FY26 special funds in the amount of $441.6M were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity.
