Howmet Aerospace (HWM) announced that Jonathan Arena has joined Howmet as executive VP, chief legal and compliance officer and secretary. He will also serve on the Howmet Aerospace executive leadership team. Arena most recently was VP and chief counsel at HII (HII), Newport News shipbuilding division. Arena will be based at Howmet's global headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Stanley Black & Decker (SWK) announced that it has completed the previously announced sale of its Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing business to Howmet Aerospace (HWM) for approximately $1.8B in cash. Stanley Black & Decker expects to utilize the net proceeds from the transaction of approximately $1.57B to reduce debt.
