Tesla (TSLA) has only 42 vehicles operating as robotaxis in the state of Texas nearly a year after service launched in the state, which pales in comparison to the 577 robotaxis Alphabet's (GOOGL) Waymo operates there, Bloomberg's Kara Carlson reports, citing the Texas DMV. The official count was unveiled for the first time in registration information Tesla provided to the DMV under new rules that went into effect this week, the author notes.

Apollo Global (APO) and Blackstone (BX) are aiming to bring extra investors into a roughly $36B debt financing deal to help Anthropic develop its AI infrastructure, Bloomberg's Paula Seligson, Scott Carpenter, and Silas Brown report. The debt will be used to buy Google's (GOOGL) custom TPU chips, which the Claude maker will then lease, the authors say, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Broadcom (AVGO), which helps Google make the chips, is backstopping payments on the biggest portion of the transaction, the authors note.
