Momentus Successfully Deploys Vigoride 7 Orbital Service Vehicle
Momentus announced the deployment and early commissioning of its Vigoride 7 Orbital Service Vehicle following launch aboard SpaceX's Transporter-16 mission. Vigoride 7 represents a significant operational milestone for the Company as it begins a series of in space operations designed to test, validate and showcase a suite of next-generation capabilities. Over the coming months, the spacecraft is expected to host and operate 10 government and commercial payloads, including demonstrations of autonomous rendezvous and proximity operations, in-space assembly technologies, and advanced satellite servicing functions - all key growth areas in the emerging on-orbit economy. Following separation from the SpaceX Falcon-9 Launch Vehicle as part of the Transporter-16 rideshare mission, at approximately 500 km altitude, Vigoride 7's 1.6-kilowatt solar arrays were successfully deployed and are providing power to the vehicle. Communications with Vigoride 7 have been successfully executed, including command uplink and telemetry downlink. All systems are stable and the vehicle will be monitored closely as commissioning commences for all the bus subsystems in preparation for supporting each of the 10 hosted payloads aboard Vigoride 7 over the next several months. This mission marks Momentus' fourth Vigoride deployment, reinforcing the Company's track record of consistent execution. Momentus' follow-on Vigoride 8 mission, planned to launch in 2027, is already fully allocated to a U.S. government customer.
