Barclays Keeps Overweight Rating on Scholar Rock Holding and Increases Price Target to $45

Scholar Rock Holding Corporation is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company. It is focused on advancing treatments for neuromuscular diseases, cardiometabolic disorders, and other serious diseases. Its transforming growth factor beta (TGFb) superfamily biology, its novel molecular mechanisms of growth factor activation enabled it to develop a proprietary platform for the discovery and development of monoclonal antibodies that locally and selectively target the precursor, or latent, forms of growth factors. Its product candidate, apitegromab, is a selective, fully human, monoclonal antibody, with a mechanism of action that results in inhibition of the activation of the growth factor, myostatin, in skeletal muscle.
