UBS raised the firm's price target on Terex to $52 from $48 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. UBS sees limited bright spots in Machinery earnings in Q2, telling investors in a research note that earnings should start to show tariff impactm while the direction of the economy remains uncertain. Construction machinery appears to have the best second half setup, but UBS sees risk of disappointment in 2H as inventories and demand likely have not improved enough to support improvement vs. the first half.

Reason
Truist raised the firm's price target on Terex to $55 from $50 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares as part of a broader research note previewing Q2 results for Machinery and Infrastructure Services space. The industrial economy remains choppy, but the incremental costs associated with tariffs are in line with, or less bad, relative to guidance provided when companies reported first quarter earnings, demand may not have deteriorated further from April levels, and relative to last quarter - when the market was bracing for a recession - there is more market optimism associated with the Republican tax bill, potential interest rate cuts, and trade tensions easing, the analyst tells investors in a research note.

Reason
Goldman Sachs analyst Jerry Revich upgraded Terex to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $60, up from $45. The firm believes the company's Aerials segment earnings are bottoming in Q1 amid a 30% production cut and a book to bill ratio 15% above historical average. Further, used inventories suggest an improving supply picture, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Goldman believes Terex's tariff risks are now reflected in the shares.
