Gray Media Completes Asset Swap with E.W. Scripps
Gray Media (GTN) closed on its cash-free, even exchange of comparable assets with the E.W. Scripps Company (SSP) involving the swap of television stations across five mid-sized and small markets that the parties announced in July 2025. Under the terms of the agreement, Gray has acquired: WSYM in Lansing, Michigan, where Gray owns WILX; and KATC in Lafayette, Louisiana, where Gray owns KADN and KLAF-LP as well as leading television stations in each of the other Louisiana markets. In exchange, Scripps has acquired: KKTV in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where Scripps owns KOAA; KKCO and low power station KJCT-LP in Grand Junction, Colorado; and KMVT and low power station KSVT-LD in Twin Falls, Idaho, where Scripps owns low power station KSAW-LD. Gray has now consummated all previously announced television station transactions.

E.W. Scripps Signs TV Rights Deal with Detroit Pistons
E.W. Scripps- Scripps Sports announced a new local media television rights agreement with the Detroit Pistons beginning with the 2026-27 NBA season. The move returns Pistons basketball to free, over-the-air television for fans throughout Detroit, metro Detroit and the state of Michigan. Per team policy, terms of the partnership were not disclosed. Under the agreement, WMYD TV20 Detroit, owned and operated by E.W. Scripps, will become the official local broadcast home of the Detroit Pistons. TV20 Detroit will produce and air all locally available pre-season and regular season games. The agreement marks the Pistons' return to a primarily local broadcast television home for the first time since 2005. The agreement also includes a weekly, half-hour Pistons show.

Scripps Sports Enters Multi-Year Deal with Professional Bull Riders
Scripps Sports entered into a comprehensive multi-year broadcast partnership with Professional Bull Riders to bring Premier Women's Rodeo exclusively to Scripps' national television networks ION and Grit beginning in May. The partnership will launch with ION and Grit carrying the highly anticipated 2026 PWR Championship, broadcast from Fort Worth, Texas, on Sunday, May 17, at 1 p.m. ET. Building on this foundation, the collaboration will expand significantly in 2027 to include the original series "PWR: Road to the Championship" on Grit, offering all-inclusive coverage of the PWR season's most compelling storylines and competitions, culminating with the 2027 PWR Championship airing across both ION and Grit. It will culminate with the 2027 PWR Championship airing across both ION and Grit. In 2027, ION and Grit will broadcast a minimum of 18 hours of women's rodeo programming over 16 broadcasts.
