E.W. Scripps said it has reached an agreement to purchase WTVQ, the ABC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky, from Morris Network, for $15.8M. "Scripps' acquisition of WTVQ would create a duopoly in Lexington with the company's existing NBC affiliate, WLEX," the company said in a statement. The transaction requires federal regulatory.

The E.W. Scripps Company closed on the sale of WFTX, its Fox-affiliated station in Fort Myers, Florida, to Sun Broadcasting for $40M.

Reports Q4 revenue $560M, consensus $550.82M. The reported EPS includes a 20c per share impact from a non-cash charge, restructuring costs, and a loss on extinguishment of debt. Local Media core advertising revenue increased 12% in the quarter. "We ended 2025 with strong financial results that met or exceeded expectations across the board and have entered 2026 with significant momentum," said CEO Adam Symson.
