MetroCity Bankshares, the holding company for Metro City Bank, and First IC, the parent company of First IC Bank, both based in Doraville, GA, previously announced that MetroCity received all required regulatory approvals and non-objections to complete its merger with First IC, as well as the approval of the First IC shareholders. MetroCity and First IC announced that the merger is expected to be completed on December 1, subject to the satisfaction or waiver of the remaining customary closing conditions.

On July 15, First IC's shareholders also voted to approve the merger. The merger is expected to be completed early in the fourth quarter of 2025, and remains subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
