Diversified Healthcare Trust is a real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is focused on owning healthcare properties located throughout the United States. It has an approximately $7.2 billion portfolio, which includes over 367 properties in 36 states and Washington, D.C., occupied by approximately 450 tenants, and totaling approximately 8.0 million square feet of life science and medical office properties and more than 27,000 senior living units. The Company's segments include Medical Office and Life Science Portfolio and SHOP. Its Medical Office and Life Science Portfolio segment primarily consists of medical office properties leased to medical providers and other medical-related businesses, as well as life science properties primarily leased to biotech laboratories and other similar tenants.
