BTIG analyst Gregory Lewis downgraded Valaris (VAL) to Neutral from Buy without a price target after Transocean (RIG) recently announced it is acquiring Valaris in an all-stock transaction. BTIG expects the transaction to close in the second half of 2026 and does not expect competing bids to emerge offering anything materially higher.

Reports Q4 revenue $537.4M, consensus $494.4M. President and Chief Executive Officer Anton Dibowitz said, "Our fourth quarter results capped another year of strong execution by the Valaris team. We delivered revenue efficiency of 98% for the quarter and 96% for full year 2025, marking our fifth consecutive year of revenue efficiency at or above 96%.
