IMAX Corporation and Asian Cinemas announced an agreement for three new state-of-the-art IMAX(R) with Laser locations in India through the AMB Cinemas brand. Two of the new locations will be in Hyderabad, the capital city of the southern Indian state of Telangana and a major hub of the Telugu-language film industry. The first location, at the AMB Classic in Hyderabad, will open before the end of 2026, with the two remaining locations planned for 2028.

IMAX Corporation and Georgia Theatre Company, GTC, announced an agreement for five new IMAX with Laser locations across the southeastern United States. The agreement will bring five new IMAX locations across Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, including to Myrtle Beach, a popular year-round tourist destination. Two locations will open in 2027, with the additional locations opening in 2028 and 2029. "The IMAX experience continues to redefine what audiences expect when they go to the movies," said Bo Chambliss, President of Georgia Theatre Company. "The response to our first IMAX location exceeded our expectations and reinforced our belief that guests are seeking immersive, high-quality theatrical experiences that cannot be replicated at home. Expanding our partnership with IMAX allows us to continue investing in presentation, innovation, and the long-term future of moviegoing across the communities we serve."

IMAX Corporation delivered a $24.4M four-day Memorial Day weekend debut for Disney/Lucasfilm's "The Mandalorian and Grogu" - an impressive 14.8% of the global debut and a top-three all-time finish for the holiday that signals the start of summer blockbuster season. The first-ever Filmed For IMAX release from the "Star Wars" saga, "The Mandalorian and Grogu" earned $14.5M over the four-day holiday weekend in North America -14.5% of its North American debut on just 1% of screens. This marks the second highest IMAX domestic market share of any opening of $100M or more, and 30% higher IMAX market share than any previous entry in the "Star Wars" franchise. The launch of "The Mandalorian and Grogu" extends the Company's strong run of success in the second quarter behind hits "Project Hail Mary," "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," and "Michael." International markets delivered $9.6M in IMAX box office for "The Mandalorian."
