Stifel initiated coverage of Structure Therapeutics with a Buy rating and $50 price target. Structure aims to expand the reach of metabolic treatments across the large, heterogeneous obesity landscape by way of its drug discovery platform of oral small molecule medicines and lead candidate GSBR-1290 will "serve as the backbone for future fixed-dose combinations" and the "cornerstone of its strategy to increase accessibility," the analyst tells investors. In a market dominated by injectable peptides with "inherent limitations," the firm think Structure's small molecule approach has the potential to "overcome these barriers," the analyst added.
