Commercial Bank announced the promotion of Justin Payne to executive VP and chief information officer. As CIO, Payne will lead the overall vision, planning, and management of all technology initiatives and information management-related resources throughout the bank. Payne joined Commercial Bank on September 8, 2008 with the acquisition of the former Union National Bank.

Commercial Bancgroup, a Tennessee corporation and the bank holding company for Commercial Bank, a Tennessee state-chartered commercial bank, priced its upsized initial public offering of 7,173,092 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $24.00 per share. 1,458,334 of the shares are being sold by Commercial and 5,714,758 of the shares are being sold by certain selling shareholders. The deal size was increased from 3.74M shares of common stock and priced below the $25.75-$27.75 range. Hovde Group acted as sole book running manager for the offering.
