Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla (TSLA) and SpaceX, visited Bali to launch the Starlink satellite internet service in Indonesia. The launch event took place at a health clinic in Denpasar, where Musk, donning a green Batik shirt, was warmly welcomed with flower petals. This initiative was launched in collaboration with Indonesian ministers, aiming to improve internet access in the world's largest archipelago nation.

The Starlink service, introduced at three Indonesian health centers, including two in Bali and one on the remote island of Aru in Maluku, is set to revolutionize the health sector by providing high-speed internet. The availability of real-time data input through Starlink will help address critical health challenges such as stunting and malnutrition. Indonesia is the third country in Southeast Asia to benefit from Starlink, following Malaysia and the Philippines.

The goal is to ensure equal internet access across Indonesia, enabling people in remote areas to enjoy fast internet similar to those in urban regions.
