The Board authorized a new share repurchase program of up to $250M of the company's outstanding common stock. The company's stock price was one of the factors in the Board's decision to authorize the repurchase program.

RLI announced that its Board of Directors declared a special cash dividend of $2.00 per share of common stock, which is expected to total approximately $184M, and a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.18 per share, a 12.5% increase over the prior quarter.

Reports Q1 revenue $423.87M, consensus $445.15M. "We entered 2026 with positive underwriting results, delivering an 86 combined ratio across our diversified specialty portfolio," said RLI Corp. President & CEO Craig Kliethermes. "Our core performance remained solid to start the year. Gross premiums written grew 3%, led by our casualty segment, and net investment income increased 15%, contributing meaningfully to quarterly results and reflecting the continued strength of our investment portfolio."
