Reports Q4 NII $17.6M vs. $15.3M last year.

Hawthorn Bancshares approved a new common stock repurchase program authorizing the repurchase of up to $10.0 million in market value of the Company's common stock. The new common stock repurchase program replaces the Company's prior common stock repurchase program.

Hawthorn Bancshares announced that its board of directors approved a quarterly cash dividend of 20c per common share, payable July 1 to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 15, which represents an increase of 1c per common share from the prior quarter's dividend.

Book Value per share increased $4.09 to $20.91, or 24%, compared to the prior year quarter. Brent Giles, Chief Executive Officer of Hawthorn Bancshares, Inc. commented, "We are pleased with the progress we've made on our strategic objectives, and the corresponding financial results. Our focus on core lines of business has resulted in reduced overhead expenses and expansion of our fee income."
