Petronas LNG Purchase Talks: Malaysian state-owned firm Petronas is negotiating to purchase at least 1 million metric tons per annum of liquefied natural gas from Commonwealth LNG's facility in Louisiana, as part of efforts by Asian countries to increase U.S. LNG purchases and reduce trade imbalances.

Commonwealth LNG Development: Commonwealth LNG is developing a 9.5 mtpa LNG plant in Louisiana, which recently received its export license, leading to increased interest from buyers; the project has nearly 8 mtpa of supply under contract or consideration.

New Leadership Appointment: Woodside Energy has appointed Sarah Bairstow, the CEO of Mexico Pacific, as senior vice president for its Louisiana liquefied natural gas plant, effective early May.
