Workhorse Group announced a purchase order for 100 fully-electric step vans from Purolator. This new order will double the number of Workhorse electric step vans in Purolator's fleet, building upon its prior purchases from Motiv Electric Trucks, which merged with Workhorse in late 2025. Workhorse will deliver the step vans to Purolator throughout 2026.

Workhorse Group announced the availability of a new W56 Step Van model with a 140 kWh battery. The new model is based on the same platform as the 210 kWh Workhorse W56 step van. W56 step vans with the Standard Wheelbase and 140 kWh configuration offer an estimated nominal range of 100 miles per charge at full payload. Pricing begins at $169,000 which includes a fully-integrated, purpose-built composite body. The company said because Workhorse produces the W56 fully on site, it has greater control of the process which can result in lower costs and more predictable delivery timelines.

Workhorse Group announces that its 1,100+ electric vehicles deployed to customers have surpassed a combined 20 million miles of in-service travel. "Twenty million miles is a significant threshold which reflects not only the quality and performance of our vehicles, but the trust that our many repeat customers have placed in Workhorse. This achievement reinforces the view that medium-duty is the sweet spot for electrification," said Scott Griffith, CEO of Workhorse.
