UCLOUDLINK GROUP announced that its board of directors has approved a plan to operate its pet-tech business under a new operational structure. The initiative will incorporate a new Cayman Islands-based holding company within UCLOUDLINK, which will be supported by local operating subsidiaries of the New Company, to create a global foundation for the pet-tech business. The New Company and its subsidiaries will focus on building an AI-powered smart wearable ecosystem for pets and develop an online interactive platform that connects among pets, pets' owners, pets' fans and communities in real time across the globe. This platform will integrate voice, video, music, and pet health-related digital services, etc. In addition, given the capital-intensive nature of developing a new global pet online platform, the New Company plans to raise additional capital and bring in additional investors to accelerate its global expansion and drive the growth of its user base.

uCloudlink announced that its groundbreaking product, PetPhone, the world's first smartphone for pets, has received a 30,000-unit order from Aham Al-Tafasil Trading Co., a Saudi Arabian-based exclusive distributor of globally renowned pet supplies and consumer electronics brands across Gulf Cooperation Council countries. PetPhone is a cutting-edge smart device designed to redefine pet care by integrating real-time communication, advanced tracking, health monitoring, and a built-in community for pet lovers.

uCloudlink announced that it was one of the first batch of 13 foreign-invested companies to receive approval for pilot operations of value-added telecommunications services by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. With the approval, uCloudlink will be permitted to engage in value-added telecommunications services such as internet access and information services in China. The 13 foreign-invested companies approved for this pilot program are predominantly affiliates of well-known multinational corporations, including Deutsche Telekom, Siemens, Airbus, and HSBC. Companies that received approval are expected to provide Chinese consumers with a more diverse range of telecom services and products to stimulate market vitality, enhance service quality and standards, and better meet the growing digital lifestyle needs of the Chinese public.
