Smith-Midland Corporation has been selected to supply $5.4M in precast concrete noise wall systems for the Complete 540-Triangle Expressway Southeast Extension Project Segment B. The project is owned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation and is being constructed by Flatiron Dragados. The project includes a combination of SoftSound absorptive Ashlar noise walls, prestressed columns for traditional precast noise walls, decorative column caps, and precast base and top coping panels. The decorative prestressed columns with horizontal chamfers and separate column caps will provide additional architectural detailing and visual definition between wall sections, keeping with the design specifications required. All components for the project will be produced at the North Carolina plant, with manufacturing scheduled to begin in May 2026, with delivery and installation expected to start in July 2026.

The company states: "For the fourth quarter of 2025, the Company expects revenues of approximately $22 to $24 million, compared to $18.5 million in the prior-year comparable quarter, primarily due to higher product sales and shipping and installation revenue. The Company also anticipates net income to be higher versus the fourth quarter of 2024. For the full year 2025, the Company expects revenue to be between $92 to $94 million, which would represent an 18% annual increase from 2024 at the midpoint, and anticipates record annual net income, subject to final adjustments."

Smith-Midland will manufacture and supply $1.6M of its proprietary SlenderWall architectural precast cladding system for a new luxury residential redevelopment project located in Washington D.C. The project incorporates Smith-Midland's SlenderWall system, a lightweight architectural precast panel system with integrated steel studs designed to reduce structural loads, while delivering durability and architectural versatility. The panels will be manufactured at Smith-Midland's Virginia plant, with production scheduled to begin in May 2026 and on-site erection expected to start in September 2026. The project is owned by Morningstar Community Development and constructed by Orion Habitats Company.

Smith-Midland Corporation was awarded and has begun production on a $1.9M contract to manufacture SoftSound sound absorptive noise wall panels, precast retaining wall systems and pre-stressed posts for the Elbow Road improvement project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Elbow Road improvements are designed to enhance traffic flow, roadway safety, and long-term corridor performance while reducing traffic noise impacts for nearby neighborhoods. Smith-Midland will be working with Archer Western Contractors on this project for the City of Virginia Beach. The project is slated to go through 2027.
