OSI Systems announced that its Optoelectronics and Manufacturing division has received a multi-year award valued at more than $40 million from a leading medical device original equipment manufacturer to provide critical electronic sub-assemblies that are utilized in the customer's medical device platforms. OSI Systems' President and Chief Executive Officer, Ajay Mehra, commented, "We are pleased to have been selected by this leading medical device OEM for a significant manufacturing program. OSI Systems announced that its security division's Itemiser 4DX and new Itemiser 5X trace detection systems have achieved ECAC/EU G1 approval, meeting the highest European standards for aviation security. "Achieving ECAC approval and EU G1 certification demonstrates our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet rigorous global security standards and help our customers protect people and assets worldwide," said Ajay Mehra, president and CEO of OSI Systems.
