Kyndryl (KD) announced a five-year extension to its agreement with The Hertz Corporation (HTZ). Under the extension, Kyndryl will continue working with Hertz to advance Hertz's technology ecosystem by leveraging its Agentic AI Framework and Kyndryl Consult services. Kyndryl's transformation services are designed to advance and improve Hertz's system reliability and support Hertz's operational requirements as the company continues to evolve its technology estate. Key components include migrating mainframe systems to cloud-based architectures, consolidating IT platforms to create a more integrated technology environment, and leveraging Kyndryl's Agentic AI Framework to integrate AI-driven automation capabilities to optimize operational workflows.

Kyndryl announced chief human resources officer Maryjo Charbonnier plans to retire. Charbonnier will retire from her role on March 31 and remain at Kyndryl as an executive advisor until the end of August. She will be succeeded by Mark Paulek as CHRO effective April 1.

Kyndryl unveiled Kyndryl's Quantum Safe Assessment service to help enterprises prepare for the opportunities and security threats posed by quantum computing. "The new service identifies and analyzes cryptographic risk exposure across an organization's entire IT estate, creating a customized transformation roadmap to transition to quantum-safe security through post-quantum cryptography," the company said. This supports long-term data protection and regulatory requirements.
