KBR (KBR) launched its inaugural innovation studio, powered by Applied Computing, in Bengaluru, India, establishing a base from which the two will deliver industrial AI from India. Co-located with Applied Computing's Bengaluru office, the studio serves as KBR's operational hub for remote monitoring and advisory services delivered through INSITE 3.0, powered by Applied Computing's Orbital Platform. The collaboration is built on combining Applied Computing's foundation AI for energy withA KBR's process technology. The hub will deliver remote monitoring and advisory services to KBR's existing global industrial customers, while also serving as the foundation for deploying the new INSITE 3.0 AI capability to the first wave of customers later this year.

KBR announced its Mission Technology Solutions business has been awarded an $8B ceiling Antarctic Science and Engineering Support Contract, or ASESC, by the U.S. National Science Foundation, or NSF. This single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity task order hybrid contract will have a 20-year period of performance beginning in June 2026. The NSF-led U.S. Antarctic Program operates three year-round stations and numerous research camps in Antarctica - Earth's highest, driest, coldest, windiest and most remote continent. The NSF plays a critical role in national security by funding foundational research in critical technologies, securing digital infrastructure and protecting the U.S. research ecosystem from foreign interference. By operating three year-round stations, Under the terms of this contract, KBR will provide full-scale operations, maintenance, logistics and science support in Antarctica and aboard ships in the Southern Ocean. KBR will deliver year-round operations supporting researchers and their teams during the demanding austral summer and through the winter months of complete isolation, 24-hour darkness and temperatures plunging to -40 degrees Fahrenheit.

KBR announced that NorSAF, one of the leading sustainable aviation fuel producers in the Baltics, has selected KBR's proprietary PureSAF technology for what is set to become the largest SAF and e-SAF production plant in Northern Europe. Under the agreement, KBR will license the proprietary PureSAF technology, invented and developed by Swedish Biofuels AB for NorSAF's new plant, which is expected to produce 100,000 tons of sustainable aviation fuel and e-SAF annually. The project is backed by Avia Solutions Group. Production is planned to commence in 2030, and distribution of SAF is planned for aviation companies across the Baltics, Northern Europe, and additional European markets.
