Electra Battery Materials provides an update on construction progress at North America's first cobalt sulfate refinery. "Momentum continues to build across the project," said Paolo Toscano, VP Projects and Engineering. "Strong planning and close collaboration with our partners are translating into tangible progress on the ground. We are excited by how the project is coming together and remain fully focused on delivering this important facility efficiently and safely." Construction crews recently completed the installation of exterior pipe racks which will connect the leach plant, solvent extraction building, and crystallizer. Current site work is centered on civil, structural, concrete and tankage installation, with a continued focus on maintaining a strong safety culture. With both construction financing and permits in place, as well as the majority of long-lead equipment secured and core infrastructure already established, current efforts are centered on sequencing work and preparing for the integration and installation of the refinery's mechanical systems as the project advances toward its targeted 2027 commissioning.

Electra Battery Materials has established an At the Market Offering, pursuant to the previously announced At The Market Offering Agreement entered into with H.C. Wainwright & Co. dated June 26, 2025. Under the ATM, the company may offer and sell, at its discretion and from time to time, through Wainwright, common shares in the capital of the company having an aggregate offering price of up to $5.5M. A cash commission of 3.0% on the aggregate gross proceeds raised under the ATM will be paid to Wainwright in connection with its services.

Electra Battery Materials and Positive Materials, a proven commercial precursor cathode active material, pCAM, announce the signing of a Supply Chain Cooperation Agreement to support the growth of North America's lithium-ion battery and energy storage industries. "Electra is constructing North America's first battery-grade cobalt sulfate refinery, and this agreement represents another component of building a fully localized and environmentally responsible supply chain. Partnering with Positive allows us to explore processing synergies and jointly support customers seeking secure, transparent sourcing," said Electra CEO, Trent Mell.

Electra Battery Materials announces the issuance of a major mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation, SMPEI, tender package as part of its refinery construction works in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario. The issuance of this tender marks another important milestone as Electra transitions from early works to full construction mobilization. The tender covers the installation of critical processing systems at what will be North America's first cobalt sulfate refinery. The scope includes structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and utility connections, core elements required to physically integrate the refinery's key systems. Issuing the SMPEI tender reflects the Company's readiness to advance into sustained construction activity following extensive engineering and procurement.
