Carpenter Technology announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Brian Malloy, currently President & Chief Operating Officer, to serve as Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2026. Tony Thene, currently Chairman and CEO, will continue as Executive Chairman of the Board, guiding strategy, maintaining key stakeholder relationships and providing Board leadership.

The company said, "Increasing operating income guidance for fiscal year 2026 to be in the range of $680 million to $700 million, representing a 30 percent to 33 percent increase over fiscal year 2025; Increasing adjusted free cash flow outlook to be at least $280 million in fiscal year 2026; For the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, anticipate between $177 million to $182 million in operating income; Well-positioned for continued growth beyond fiscal year 2027 with strong market demand outlook for our broad portfolio of specialized solutions, increasing productivity, optimizing product mix and pricing actions."
