Rocket Companies (RKT) acquired Mr. Cooper Group (COOP) in a deal that closed on October 1.

Rocket Companies (RKT) announced the completed acquisition of Mr. Cooper Group (COOP), bringing together the country's largest home loan originator and the largest mortgage servicer. Together, the companies will have a combined servicing portfolio of nearly 10 million homeowners. As part of the acquisition, Mr. Cooper and all of its servicing functions will be rebranded under the Rocket umbrella.

Mr. Cooper Group (COOP) announced that at a special meeting of Company stockholders held earlier , its stockholders voted to adopt the Company's merger agreement with Rocket Companies (RKT). As previously announced, under the terms of the merger agreement, Mr. Cooper stockholders are entitled to receive 11 shares of Rocket Class A common stock for each share of Mr. Cooper common stock. Additionally, Mr. Cooper may declare and pay a dividend of $2.00 per share of Mr. Cooper common stock prior to the effective time of the transaction.
