Samuelson succeeds Lorenz Werndle who will step down as CFO effective May 31 to pursue another executive opportunity with a publicly listed company in the United Kingdom. Werndle will remain with the company through June 24 to facilitate a transition of responsibilities.

Gomes most recently served as CEO of the Ambatovy nickel and cobalt joint venture, one of the world's largest integrated mining and refining operations, where he led a workforce of approximately 8,000 and oversaw significant improvements in operational performance and balance sheet strength.
