Anterix (ATEX) announced an expanded collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies (QCOM) to accelerate adoption of next-generation connectivity for utilities and critical infrastructure operators nationwide. Anterix announced that it was "pleased" to report that the Federal Communications Commission, or FCC, has unanimously adopted a Report and Order, "Maximizing the Potential of the 900 MHz Band," enabling broadband deployment across the full 10 megahertz of the 900 MHz band, unlocking opportunities for Anterix and its ecosystem of innovators. The decision by the Commission is the culmination of a joint petition filed by Anterix, alongside a coalition of energy and technology organizations, seeking authority to expand the 900 MHz broadband segment from 6 MHz to a 10 MHz 5x5 configuration.

Anterix announced a series of live demonstrations, collaborations, and industry engagements at Distributech 2026, where the company will unveil its new brand and visual identity. The rebrand reflects Anterix's growth focus: pairing its licensed 900 MHz spectrum foundation with deployment solutions and ecosystem capabilities, helping utilities move faster from design to deployment to measurable outcomes. Anterix and CPS Energy announced a spectrum purchase agreement that will enable CPS Energy to deploy a mission-critical 900 MHz private wireless broadband network, marking a major step forward in strengthening grid operations, enhancing resiliency, reliability, and accelerating the digital transformation of the utility's infrastructure. With access to 900 MHz broadband spectrum from Anterix, CPS Energy is positioned to implement a private wireless network purpose-built for the demands of modern grid operations. The wireless network will support advanced field automation, faster outage detection and restoration, real-time situational awareness, and the operational resilience and reliability needed to safely integrate new technologies as the grid evolves.
