The major averages closed mixed, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq ending lower despite earlier gains, as oil prices keep rising amid continued conflict in the Middle East. Apollo Global Management (APO) is teaming up with Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC and nearing a deal to buy Atlantic Aviation from KKR (KKR) in transaction that would value the private jet fixed-base operator at almost $10B, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg's David Carnevali and Ryan Gould. The partners would buy a majority stake in the company, while KKR will invest new money to retain a large interest, the report stated.

Apollo Global is looking to open a second headquarters in the U.S. and is currently considering basing it in Austin, Texas, south Florida and Nashville, Sujeet Indap and Antoine Gara of The Financial Times reports, citing people familiar with the matter. "We've shared with our teams across Apollo and Athene that we plan to establish a second headquarters in either Texas or south Florida, alongside NYC," Apollo wrote in a statement, according to the Times.
