India's Renewable Energy Initiative: India is inviting bids for 6,000 MW of renewable energy with storage to ensure peak-hour supply, aiming to connect 35 GW of solar and wind capacity by March 2025 and increase non-fossil power capacity to 500 GW.
Recent Capacity Growth: From April to August, India added 10 GW of renewable capacity, bringing the total to approximately 153 GW, with expectations for numerous battery-linked storage projects in the future.
