Stifel Analyst Raises MGM Price Target to $48
After Caesars (CZR) announced an agreement to be acquired by Fertitta Entertainment for an all-cash transaction valued at $31 per share, Stifel analyst Steven Wieczynski said "if we're looking for a positive around this transaction, it would be that we think this type of deal will now put a floor on other U.S. gaming valuations." Based on a 7-times EBITDAR takeout price and looking at about a 15% free cash flow yield, the firm believes this deal signals MGM Resorts (MGM) shares "could be worth $50-$55/share versus the current ~$42 share price," the analyst tells investors. Stifel has a Buy rating and $48 price target on MGM shares.

Dow Jones Advances as Oil Prices Decline
The major averages were mixed near noon, with the Dow Jones advancing as oil prices decline, though the S&P 500 and Nasdaq were down fractionally amid weakness in cybersecurity stocks. Treasury yields are pulling back slightly after a relentless surge over the past two weeks, with the 10-year yield moving down from recent highs near 4.5%.
