KBR has been selected to provide technology licensing and Front-End Engineering Design, or FEED, services based on its PureSAF technology for the proposed sustainable aviation fuel plant being developed by Keppel's Infrastructure Division and Aster Chemicals and Energy on Singapore's Jurong Island. The PureSAF technology was developed by Swedish Biofuels AB, engineered for commercial-scale production by KBR, and exclusively licensed by KBR worldwide. Keppel and Aster announced their partnership to jointly assess the development of the facility earlier this year. The proposed plant is expected to have a planned production capacity of up to 100,000 tons of SAF per year, subject to final investment decision and regulatory approvals.

KBR announced the appointments of Michael LaRouche as President and Chief Executive Officer-Designate and Nicholas Veasey as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer-Designate of the planned spin-off entity of its Mission Technology Solutions business. LaRouche will join KBR on September 24, and Veasey will join on July 1. The spin-off is expected to be completed on January 4, 2027, at which time LaRouche and Veasey will be President and Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, respectively, of SpinCo. SpinCo will launch as a trusted global company supporting critical missions with speed and expertise across national security and space, backed by decades of delivering at-scale operations.

KBR (KBR) launched its inaugural innovation studio, powered by Applied Computing, in Bengaluru, India, establishing a base from which the two will deliver industrial AI from India. Co-located with Applied Computing's Bengaluru office, the studio serves as KBR's operational hub for remote monitoring and advisory services delivered through INSITE 3.0, powered by Applied Computing's Orbital Platform. The collaboration is built on combining Applied Computing's foundation AI for energy withA KBR's process technology. The hub will deliver remote monitoring and advisory services to KBR's existing global industrial customers, while also serving as the foundation for deploying the new INSITE 3.0 AI capability to the first wave of customers later this year.
