Northern Trust (NTRS) entered into an agreement with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) to leverage ICE ETF Hub as the order-taking platform for its new U.S. exchange-traded funds servicing capability for institutional investors. The integration marks a key milestone in Northern Trust's strategic entry into the U.S. institutional investor ETF servicing market. ICE ETF Hub provides a secure, scalable technology infrastructure that streamlines ETF primary market workflows and connects directly with authorized participants, market makers, distributors, and other essential participants in the ETF ecosystem. The platform will seamlessly integrate with Northern Trust's fully automated, proprietary ETF servicing application.

Last year, OKX Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique met with the Jeffrey Sprecher, Chairman of Intercontinental Exchange, Ben Weiss of Fortune reports. The chat, which was planned to last 30-minutes, soon turned into a four-hour conversation. Months later, what began as an informal chat transformed into a series of meetings, eventually ending with Intercontinental Exchange investing in OKX at a $25B valuation. "There was great chemistry in how we looked at the world and the future of tokenized securities, how derivatives should make it to the global stage, how TradFi digital assets should merge together," said Rafique, referring to his initial meeting with chairman Sprecher. OKX will provide IntercontinentalExchange with a live price feed of cryptocurrencies, and will allow users to trade tokenized stocks and derivatives listed on the NYSE.
