Duke Energy announced the Public Service Commission of South Carolina has approved its plans to construct new natural gas generation in Anderson County. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2027 and the facility would serve customers by early 2031.

Flowserve (FLS) announced that its board of directors has elected Brian Savoy as a member of the board of directors, and appointed him to the audit committee and technology, innovation and risk committee, effective March 16. Savoy currently serves as the CFO and executive VP at Duke Energy (DUK), an electric power and natural gas holding company.

Duke Energy announced that it intends to offer $1B aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2029 in a private placement under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. Duke Energy intends to use the net proceeds from the offering of the convertible notes to repay at maturity $1.725 billion aggregate principal amount of Duke Energy's outstanding 4.125% Convertible Senior Notes due April 15, 2026, including as applicable cash amounts due upon conversion thereof and for general corporate purposes.
