Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. rig count is down 9 from last week to 543 with oil rigs down 5 to 409, gas rigs down 4 to 127 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 7. The U.S. Rig Count is down 49 rigs from last year's count of 592 with oil rigs down 75, gas rigs up 24 and miscellaneous rigs up 2. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 to 11, down 3 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is down 24 from last week to 153 with oil rigs down 19 to 95, gas rigs down 5 to 58 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0. The Canada Rig Count is down 10 from last year's count of 163 with oil rigs down 13, gas rigs up 4 and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

Baker Hughes (BKR) announced it is collaborating with Google Cloud (GOOGL) to develop advanced AI-enabled power optimization and sustainability solutions for the global data center sector. Baker Hughes intends to combine complementary technologies and expertise to help address the increasing power demand driven by AI data center expansion. The companies will explore opportunities within data centers to unlock greater value from underutilized industrial and operational data. In addition, Baker Hughes will identify new pathways for power use through Baker Hughes' expertise in optimizing turbomachinery and power systems performance, alongside Google Cloud's AI and data analytics. Baker Hughes will leverage Google Cloud and its ecosystem of digital partners to provide these AI-driven solutions at enterprise scale.

Baker Hughes announced an agreement under which Baker Hughes will supply gas compression, power generation equipment, and project development support for ST LNG's proposed 8.4M tons per annum liquefied natural gas export terminal offshore of Matagorda, Texas. As part of the agreement, Baker Hughes will provide two LM6000PF gas turbine-driven centrifugal compressor trains and three NovaLT16 gas turbine generator packages, securing the necessary production capacity for the first phase of the project, which is expected to deliver 2.1 MTPA as part of a planned four-phase development.
