Ameresco, together with its joint venture partner Sunel Group, announced the launch of an 83 MW solar installation in Kozani, Greece. The large-scale renewable energy project is set to significantly enhance the region's energy resiliency while supporting Greece's transition toward a decarbonized future. "Greece is one of the sunniest countries in Europe, making it an ideal location for solar energy projects that can drive both national and regional sustainability goals," said Pete Christakis, Chief Operating Officer at Ameresco. "By leveraging advanced solar tracking technology in a region rich in sunlight, the Kozani project is set to play a significant role in fortifying Greece's renewable energy infrastructure and supporting Europe's broader green energy transition."

Ameresco announced a collaboration with Miami-Dade County under a Guaranteed Energy, Water, and Wastewater Performance Savings Contract to implement energy conservation measures across two key facilities: the Miami-Dade Children's Courthouse and the E.R. Graham Building. The project includes the design and installation of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems and comprehensive interior and exterior LED lighting retrofits at the Children's Courthouse and the E.R. Graham Building. Together these measures deliver significant improvements in energy efficiency and facility performance. With these combined measures, the project is expected to reduce annual electrical expenditures.

Ameresco announced the substantial completion of a Progressive Design-Build project for Tacoma Public Schools to modernize the HVAC system at McKinley Swing School, supporting improved energy efficiency and a more optimized learning environment for students and staff. The project, valued at $7.8 million, included an upgrade of the McKinley Swing School's aging HVAC system, which had reached the end of its life, while also navigating the requirements of the historical registry, ensuring upgrades were sensitive to the school's historic character and preservation guidelines. As portions of the building remained occupied throughout construction, the team coordinated closely with the district to maintain safe and functional educational spaces. The project achieved substantial completion on December 31, 2025.

Ameresco announced a series of strategic organizational changes. Effective April 1, 2026, Nicole Bulgarino and Lou Maltezos will be appointed Co-Presidents of Ameresco, and will co-lead the company alongside George Sakellaris, who will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition to her expanded Co-President role, Nicole will lead Ameresco's increasing work supporting data centers and large energy infrastructure projects with advanced power solutions, while continuing to guide the company's Federal Solutions business. In addition to his expanded co-President role, Lou will oversee the unified non-Federal project organization to strengthen alignment and scale across the company's operations, while continuing leadership of Smart Building Solutions and Ameresco Canada. Peter Christakis will be appointed Chief Operating Officer of Ameresco, supporting consistency across project execution and project risk management and reinforcing the company's focus on disciplined delivery as it continues to scale. Peter will also continue to oversee Procurement, Health & Safety, U.S. solar and battery operations, and the company's European operations, ensuring cohesive operational leadership across these critical functions.
