The Fund's investment objective is to seek a high level of current income. Under normal market conditions, the Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, directly or indirectly, in credit instruments, including a portfolio of securities of specialty finance and other financial companies. These companies include banks, thrifts, finance companies, lending platforms, business development companies, real estate investment trusts, special purpose acquisition companies (SPAC), private investment funds, registered closed-end investment companies, brokerage and advisory firms, insurance companies and financial holding companies. The Fund also invests in common equity, preferred equity, convertible securities and warrants of these institutions. The Fund's investment adviser is RiverNorth Capital Management, LLC.
