Labor Agreement Vote: Members of the United Steelworkers Local 1123 voted against ratifying a second tentative labor agreement with Metallus, which was reached on December 4, 2025.
Proposed Benefits: The rejected agreement included wage increases, comprehensive healthcare coverage, paid parental leave, and improved retirement contributions, aimed at enhancing employee benefits.
Current Agreement Status: The existing labor agreement, which covers about 1,200 employees at Metallus' Canton, Ohio operations, remains in effect until January 29, 2026.
