Amazon Luna Discontinues Support for Purchased Games and External Subscriptions
Changes to Amazon Luna: Amazon's Luna cloud gaming service will no longer allow purchases of Ubisoft+ and Jackbox Games subscriptions directly through the platform, and will automatically cancel any active subscriptions at the end of the billing cycle.
Access to Games: Users who purchased games directly from Ubisoft will still have access to those games on Luna until June 10, but the "Bring Your Own Library" feature allowing access to games from other platforms will also be discontinued.
No Refunds Offered: Unlike Google’s Stadia, which offered refunds upon shutdown, Amazon will not provide refunds for purchases made on Luna, although users can still access their games through linked third-party platforms.
Future of Luna: Amazon plans to pivot Luna towards casual games similar to Jackbox, focusing on a subscription model akin to Game Pass, as the service has struggled to gain traction since its launch in 2020.
