T2mobile secures multi-million dollar agreement with Huawei for network enhancement

Strategic Partnerships: The company recently entered into a national roaming agreement with MTN Nigeria, allowing T2mobile subscribers to access MTN’s extensive network, which helps expand coverage at lower costs.

Subscriber Growth: Following its rebranding efforts and partnerships, T2mobile reported a subscriber gain of 290,601 in July 2025, making it the only major operator to see growth during that period, despite overall declines in the industry.

Challenges Ahead: Despite positive developments, T2mobile faces challenges such as consistent network downtime due to vandalism and infrastructure issues, which could hinder its efforts to reclaim its position in the competitive Nigerian telecom market.
