Launch of Circle Gateway: Circle has introduced Gateway, a platform that allows instant USDC transfers across seven major blockchains including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, OP Mainnet, Polygon PoS, and Unichain.
Unified USDC Balances: The Gateway enables a unified USDC balance accessible in under 500 milliseconds, addressing the fragmentation of stablecoin liquidity across different blockchains.
Self-Custodial Assets: Users maintain control over their assets in the Gateway Wallet, which cannot be altered without user authorization, allowing for trustless withdrawals even if the API is down.
Growing Demand for Stablecoins: Circle reported a significant increase in revenue due to rising demand for stablecoins, with Q2 earnings reaching $658 million, attributed to an 86% increase in USDC circulation.
