Trane has successfully completed all required laboratory testing for both its rooftop units in the 10-14 and 15-25 ton capacity ranges submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy's Commercial Building HVAC Technology Challenge. The company also received additional recognition on the smaller RTU from the DOE as the only manufacturer exceeding the challenge's optional heating capacity and efficiency requirements for Improved Cold Climate Performance. The DOE's Commercial Building HVAC Technology Challenge encourages manufacturers to develop innovative RTUs that meet an advanced technology specification designed to help organizations achieve their cost, energy and reliability goals. With testing now complete, Trane Technologies has advanced to the next phase of the challenge, which includes two field trial installation sites in Bensenville, Illinois and Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Trane announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire LiquidStack, headquartered in Carrollton, Texas. The acquisition includes LiquidStack's highly skilled global team and manufacturing, engineering and research and development operations in Texas and Hong Kong. Upon closing, LiquidStack will operate globally within the Commercial HVAC business unit of the Trane Technologies Americas segment.

Trane Technologies announced the Board of Directors has approved a 12% increase to the company's dividend, resulting in a quarterly dividend of $1.05 per ordinary share, or $4.20 per share annualized. The dividend is payable March 31 to shareholders of record on March 6.

Trane by Trane Technologies (TT) and Garrett Motion (GTX) announced a strategic collaboration to accelerate next generation, oil-free centrifugal compressor technology for commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning applications. The collaboration brings together Trane's Commercial HVAC system expertise and performance with Garrett's oil-free high-speed centrifugal compressor technology. "Together, Trane and Garrett will launch the next generation of high efficiency HVAC systems and accelerate the adoption of ultra-low global warming potential refrigerants," the company said.
