Slide Insurance announced its expansion into California, launching a residential property excess and surplus lines program and writing its first policy in the state. "We are proud to have successfully entered the California market, consistent with our strategic timeline," said Bruce Lucas, chairman and CEO. "This milestone reflects our disciplined approach to expansion and our ability to bring much-needed capacity to markets where homeowners are underserved." Slide's entry into California comes as several major carriers have reduced their presence or exited entirely, leaving property owners facing canceled policies and limited coverage options.

Slide Insurance announced that its board of directors has authorized a new common stock repurchase program of $100M. The authorization is effective immediately, has no time limit, and may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time. With the new program in place, Slide has $114M of availability under its current repurchase programs.

Reports Q1 revenue $389.28M, consensus $368.52.
