SK Telecom (SKM) "announced it has signed a three-party memorandum of understanding with global server manufacturer Supermicro (SMCI) and global mechanical, electrical and plumbing leader Schneider Electric to develop a total solution for artificial intelligence data centers. The agreement, signed at MWC26, aims to shorten AIDC construction timelines and help alleviate supply bottlenecks by leveraging the combined expertise of the three companies. The companies will collaborate on a pre-fabricated modular model that integrates AI computing servers with supporting power and cooling infrastructure into a single pre-manufactured module, enabling AIDCs to be constructed in a building-block configuration."

SK Telecom CEO Jung Jai-hun held a press conference in Barcelona, Spain, and announced the company's 'AI Native' innovation strategy, which includes a reorganization of AI infrastructure and large-scale investment plans. CEO Jung Jai-hun stated, "SKT is currently at a golden time of transformation, where the two tasks of 'customer value innovation' and 'AI innovation' intersect in a borderless, converged environment that goes beyond telecommunications. SKT defines 'the customer as the very essence of our business,' and through innovation driven by AI, we will evolve into a company that makes meaningful contributions to our customers and to Korea."

NVIDIA (NVDA) announced a commitment, together with Booz Allen (BAH), BT Group, Cisco (CSCO), Deutsche Telekom (DTEGY), Ericsson (ERIC), MITRE, Nokia (NOK), OCUDU Ecosystem Foundation, ODC, SK Telecom (SKM), SoftBank (SFTBY) and T-Mobile (TMUS), to build the world's next generation of wireless networks on AI-native, open, secure platforms. "AI is redefining computing and driving the largest infrastructure buildout in human history - and telecommunications is next," said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. "Together with a global coalition of industry leaders, NVIDIA is building AI-RAN to transform the world's telecom networks into AI infrastructure everywhere."
