Remitly Global announced the appointment of Sebastian Gunningham as CEO and member of the board of directors, effective February 19. Gunningham succeeds co-founder Matt Oppenheimer, who decided to transition the role of CEO to a new leader. Oppenheimer will continue to serve as chairman of the board. Most recently, Gunningham served as chairman of Santander Consumer Finance and vice chairman of Openbank.

Reports Q4 revenue $442.18M, consensus $427.27M. Active customers increased to 9.3M, from 7.8M, up 19%. Send volume increased to $20.8B, from $15.4B, up 35%.
