Proteus Reports Q1 Revenue of $258K, Below Consensus
Reports Q1 revenue $258K, consensus $299K. "We delivered a strong quarter of Proteus execution, achieving the key development milestones we outlined at our Investor & Analyst Day in November 2025. Most notably, we achieved automated sequencing runs on integrated Proteus instruments bringing together all the core elements of the system planned for the launch configuration spanning instrumentation, KinetIQ(TM) Array, Sequencing chemistry and data analysis, all without user intervention once the run is initiated," said Jeff Hawkins, President and Chief Executive Officer. "While there is more work ahead, the momentum we are building across all parts of the Proteus development program is encouraging and reinforces our confidence in the roadmap we are executing."

Quantum-Si Achieves Sequencing on Integrated Proteus Instruments
Quantum-Si Incorporated demonstrated sequencing on integrated Proteus instruments. The company said, "This milestone was achieved using a developmental sequencing kit, the KinetIQ Array, and fully integrated Proteus instruments. The developmental sequencing kit used to achieve this milestone can detect 17 amino acids, a rapid improvement in only four months since adding the detection of the 15th amino acid to the commercially available sequencing kit in December of 2025. To demonstrate the full workflow, a sample, sequencing reagents and kinetic array were placed in the instrument drawer by the user and the run was initiated. The entire process from setting up the sequencing reaction to loading the sample into the KinetIQ Array through to data acquisition was fully automated by the Proteus instrument without any user intervention."

Quantum-Si Releases New Study on Human Cohesin Function in Yeast
Quantum-Si Incorporated announced a new manuscript available via pre-print on bioRxiv from researchers out of the University of British Columbia and the B.C. Cancer Research Institute. In the pre-print titled "Heterologous expression of the human cohesin complex in Saccharomyces cerevisiae results in a dominant-negative phenotype", the researchers expressed key human chromosome-organizing proteins in yeast cells. They hypothesized that the human cohesins were forming complexes and disrupting the activity of endogenous yeast cohesins. This matters for cancer drug development because problems with cohesin can drive genome instability in tumors, pointing to new ways to target cancer cells. "We are excited to see the first manuscript published by international researchers," said Jeff Hawkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quantum-Si. "In this study, single-molecule protein sequencing enabled the researchers at University of British Columbia and B.C. Cancer Research Institute to directly identify hybrid cohesin complexes, demonstrating the value of our technology as a foundational tool for mechanistic biology research and therapeutic discovery."
