Apollo Global (APO) is holding talks to sell MidCap Financial (MFIC), its business development company private credit fund, Lauren Thomas and Matt Wirz of Wall Street Journal report, citing people familiar with the matter. Apollo values MidCap's investments at around $3B, according to the Journal. The buyer is likely to be another business development company, which could use shares in its own fund to purchase MidCap, sources told the paper.

Reports Q1 total investment income $71.8M, consensus $74.62M. Reports Q1 NAV per share $13.82 vs $14.18 at December 31, 2025. "As discussed last quarter, given the size of the stock's discount to NAV, we prioritized allocating capital toward stock repurchases rather than deploying capital into new investments during the quarter," said CEO Tanner Powell.
